During my junior year of college, an author from Florida reached out to me with an offer to illustrate a children's book. We had multiple Zoom meetings to discuss her vision. After gaining a clear understanding of what she wanted, I dedicated two months to meticulously drawing the illustrations.
This project was a milestone in my career as a designer & illustrator. It not only allowed me to refine my artistic skills but also provided me with a valuable lesson in client communication. I realized the importance of thoroughly understanding the client's vision and expectations before starting the work.
The numerous discussions and brainstorming sessions we had were crucial in ensuring that my work aligned with her imaginings.
Moreover, this project also taught me the importance of time management and meeting deadlines. I had to plan each phase of the illustration process to ensure that I completed the book within the stipulated timeframe. This experience helped me improve my organizational skills and ability to work under pressure; pushing me out of my comfort zone and helping me grow as an artist.

Right on the heels of completing Germ Catcher, I was offered another chance to illustrate a children's book, this time for an author from Minnesota. Just like the previous one, this project required over 100 hours of work and was completed within a two-month timeline..
Just like the previous project, this one also required a considerable amount of work, encompassing over 100 hours spent meticulously crafting images that would captivate the book's young audience. Despite the intensive workload, I was able to successfully complete the project within a two-month timeframe.
Taking on this role was undoubtedly challenging but that made it such a valuable learning experience. The knowledge I gained was not only related to the technical aspects of illustration but also coordinating with a client who was geographically distant.
Moreover, immersing myself in a project of this scale and seeing it through to completion has been immensely rewarding. It has bolstered my confidence in my abilities and has shown me that I can take on big projects and deliver quality results.
Looking back, I am profoundly grateful for the knowledge I acquired and the experience I gained during this process. It was an enriching journey that has significantly contributed to my growth as a professional.
