As a graduate from Ouachita Baptist University currently residing in Durham, NC, I hold a BA in Graphic Design and Mass Communications. I started my academic journey with aspirations of becoming a journalist and filmmaker, but I evolved into a proficient graphic designer, illustrator, and photographer. I've always been passionate about visual storytelling, but it wasn't until my sophomore year in college that I discovered my inherent talent for it. This revelation led me to add graphic design as a major while continuing my multidisciplinary studies in multimedia journalism and film.

My confidence as an artist blossomed when I secured an internship as a graphic designer for my university's marketing and communications department. It was during this period that I discovered my love for marketing, client collaboration, problem-solving, and brand development. As I consistently met their objectives, my supervisors recognized my prowess in illustration and design, entrusting me with projects and deadlines that no student had been given before. This trust culminated in my appointment as the lead student designer in the department.

In this pioneering role, I committed to additional hours and was always available to lend a hand when needed. Concurrently, I managed to balance university projects with my work illustrating children's books, both for a publishing company and two independent authors.

I pride myself on being a fast learner. If I encounter an unfamiliar task or concept, I make it my mission to educate myself and master it promptly. I am confident in my communication skills and consistently strive for excellence in all my work. I live by the motto: "Under-promise and over-deliver."
