I’m Grace Avery, a designer, illustrator, and storyteller based in New York City. Originally from North Carolina, I began my creative journey studying Graphic Design and Mass Communications at Ouachita Baptist University, where I also discovered my love for multimedia journalism and film. What started as an interest in writing and filmmaking quickly grew into a passion for visual storytelling through design and illustration.
During college, I worked as a graphic designer in my university’s marketing and communications department, where I uncovered my love for brand development, problem-solving, and client collaboration. My dedication led to being named the lead student designer; an experience that taught me how to balance creativity with strategy and exceed expectations on high-stakes projects. Since then, I’ve continued building my career as a creative professional, illustrating published children’s books, designing for restaurants and fashion brands, and managing social media campaigns for over 20 clients. Today, I specialize in blending strategy with artistry and helping brands tell their stories with clarity, impact, and personality.
I’m a fast learner who thrives in dynamic environments, and I live by a simple motto: under-promise and over-deliver.
